Unaccompanied Minors

The frequency of children traveling by themselves has led airlines to set up programs that deal with the specific needs of children traveling alone. The common term that is used to describe children who fly alone is Unaccompanied minors (also known as UMs). A flight attendant from the airline will be responsible for helping those children before and during the flight. Programs for Unaccompanied minors might include activities to occupy them during flights.
