Reduced Levels of Inhibition Among Children With ADHD

 

ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a genetic condition which causes hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsive behavior. During normal development, children develop ג€œprivatization.ג€ This means that they develop inhibitions and begin to internalize certain behaviors. Because children with ADHD never develop privatization, they are uninhibited and display more public behavior and speech.
