When your professor asks you to write the literature review section of a research study, she expects you to write much more than just a simple summary. In this section, the reader expects to find an integrated picture of theories and previous studies that relate to your research topic.
You are also expected to say what is still missing from the body of knowledge in your field, and how your research will contribute towards this body of knowledge.
