structure

Structure means the way that you put the parts of something together or the way you build it.

For example:

The lesson was easy to understand because it had a clear structure. First the teacher talked about the causes of the war, then he described the main events, and finally he discussed the results of the war.

If you look at the whole structure of a cell, you can see how the different parts work together.
