Sufficient Evidence
Throughout history people have changed their minds about old theories and accepted new ones. This happened when sufficient evidence accumulated to show that the old theory was not correct. For example, people once believed that the sun circled the earth. However, as telescopes improved and astronomical measurements became more precise, people collected sufficient evidence to show that the earth circles the sun.
