Transport in Developing Countries
Car ownership in developing countries is usually confined to the wealthy sectors of society. Public transport in these countries is often minimal or non-existent. Many poor people still rely on bicycles or animal transport, such as donkeys. Without public transport, most of the poor are unable to reach the cities where better job opportunities are available. This then makes it harder for poor people in developing countries to break the cycle of poverty.
