Transmission of Malaria

 

Not all mosquitoes transmit malaria. This disease is transmitted only by the female Anopheles mosquito. According to the World Health Organization, malaria leads to nearly one million deaths every year. Most cases of malaria occur in places where the people cannot afford nets and sprays against mosquitoes. Their houses consist of a roof made from dry plants and a mud floor, without proper windows or screens.
