Many researchers now think that all students can learn how to be more creative. Some schools teach their students to work through the steps of Donald Treffinger’s Creative Problem-Solving method.

This method consists of the following stages:

- fact-finding

- problem-finding

- idea-finding or generating as many different ideas as possible

- solution-finding or evaluating which solution would work best

- developing a plan of action.

Can you think of some reasons why schools should teach their students to be more creative?

Choose 3 correct answers.

If more students learn how to be creative, we have more chance of finding creative solutions to the problems currently facing today's society.

Research shows that students who practice creative problem-solving become more creative.

If schools only fill students' heads with information, they might never learn to be creative problem-solvers.

All creative students will have successful careers after they leave school.
